Alan has been involved in public practice accounting since the beginning of 2001. He has worked on the Central Coast for all of that time and become familiar with the industry and services that are unique to our regional area.
Alan currently sits on the NSW Regional Tax Practitioners Working Group; working with senior members of the ATO and representatives of the major accounting associations to contribute to improvements in the tax and superannuation systems.
As a member of the Institute of Public Accountants (IPA) and National Tax & Accountants’ Association Ltd (NTAA), Alan is bound to providing a service of the highest professional standard maintaining regular training and keeping abreast of the latest changes regarding taxation, accounting and financial matters.
Alan did his training on the Mid North Coast and completed his first post-graduate degree through the University of New England. Continuing the commitment to maintain a high level of tertiary qualification, Alan went on to finish his Masters of Commerce, also through the University of New England.
Accountant | Business Development
Christie has a long history of public accounting and a passion for small business. She has earned several academic awards relating to accounting and commercial law, including the CPA award for Excellence in Accounting Studies. To compliment accounting, Christie is currently completing a Diploma in Financial Planning.
Factoring a major role in the practice, Christie’s primary role is in managing the firm and ensuring clients are well-resourced. She oversees BAS’s, ASIC compliance, payroll services and maintains our extranets, websites, blogs and other online media. Christie is an invaluable resource not just to the practice, but for each client and their business.
Accountant | Business Consultant
Peter began his career with the Australian Taxation Office, often advising on complex taxation matters. He eventually left the ATO after 13 years to pursue a career in private legal practice. Peter ran his own law firm for more than 20 years before ‘retiring’ to the sunny Central Coast.
Peter loves working with SMEs, particularly in the areas of business structuring, SMSFs and small business capital gains tax concessions.
Peter is often called in to assist clients with asset protection, business succession and wealth creation strategies.
Office Manager Extraordinaire
Prior to joining the team at Alan Lewis Accountants, Marilyn’s career centred on executive secretarial and administrative roles in the financial services industry.
We were lucky to snap her up shortly after she relocated to the Central Coast. Within a month of joining the firm, Marilyn moved from part-time Administration to full-time Office Manager.
Marilyn co-ordinates the day-to-day operations of the practice and helps keep us all organised and on our toes.
Marilyn is also a registered Justice of the Peace.
Reception | Administrative Assistant
Amanda is our ‘front office’ liaison and is the primary contact for the telephones and reception area – we call her the ‘Director of First Impressions.’
Her bubbly personality has seen Amanda fit beautifully into this role. In fact, she’s so comfortable, she can often be found shuffling about the reception area in slippers.
Amanda successfully complete a 12-month Office Administration Traineeship with the practice.
She is now continuing her studies with a Certificate IV in office administration and recently embarked on a Certificate III in Financial Services.
